Sometimes things just don’t go according to plan. A slip of the finger, a flat where a sharp should go…and suddenly you haven’t got a clue what comes next.

It can be frustrating when this happens in the practice room.

But if it happens on stage…

The problem is that while the notes might have gone, the audience hasn’t. They’re still listening, watching you squirm on the hook, and wondering just how you are going to handle it all.

What can you do?

In situations as desperate as this, when the stakes are high and the cards are falling badly for you, there’s only one thing an honourable musician can do.

You’re going to have to cheat.

I'd never consider it! But you better show me how just in case : )
